The Maliotis Center, although situated on the Campus of Hellenic College,
is administratively independent. A consequence of this independence is
that we are entirely responsible for obtaining the funding for our operations.
The Greek-American and philhellenic communities—our primary constituencies—are
crucial sources of support for us. We seek the support of these communities
in a number of ways: direct financial support in the form of contributions,
named gifts and sponsorships; gifts in kind; gifts of art; volunteering;
interning.
Contributions
We are grateful for monetary contributions of any amount. Two easy ways to makea contribution to the Center are:
- online using a credit card, bank account or PayPal account;
- sending us a check along with a completed Donation Form (which you can print out) to the Maliotis Cultural Center, P.O. Box 300189, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
Permanent Named Gifts
Inside the Center are a number of rooms and areas, large and small, which
can be named for a person or an organization. For specific information
on this program, please contact the Center.
Program Sponsorship
Sponsors for our scheduled programs, such as our art exhibits, lectures
and films are always welcome. We also encourage people to contact us who
have a special event in mind that he or she would like to sponsor and
bring to the Center.
Gifts in Kind
Many members in the Greek-American and philhellenic community operate
businesses that are involved with products and services that the Center
uses or could use, for example, those related to computer technology,
audio/visual technology, cleaning, architecture, interior design, maintenance,
printing, landscaping, food and beverages. If you would like to support
us in this very practical and much appreciated manner please contact us.
Gifts of Art
The Center is always interested in opportunities to expand its art collection.
If you have a quality painting or collection for which you would like
a larger audience and that you think would be appropriate for the Center,
consider donating it to us. An alternative is to loan it to us on a “permanent”
basis. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this type of gift.
Volunteering
Volunteers are needed and wanted to help out as office workers, event
workers and docents. We offer a warm and pleasant environment. Please
contact us if you want to volunteer at the Center.
Interning
Internships can be arranged for college students with interests in areas
relevant to the Center. Most often these positions are non-paying. Please
contact us if you are interested.
